MAGNIFICENT TOWN HIT ASHTON FOR EIGHT Runcorn Town romped to their biggest Vodkat League victory as they kept up their 100% record with an 8-0 win at Ashton Town.Town's magnificent start to the season shows no sign of ending, with the win making it twenty goals scored in just four games played. James McShane opened the scoring after 11 minutes with a stunning 25-yard effort that found the top left hand corner, the goal being his 50th in Town colours. Six minutes later Marvin Molyneux doubled the lead with another from distance, this time finding the top right hand corner. The third arrived after 40 minutes with Warren Bellew advancing into the box before slotting past Hewitt, with Town looking comfortable at the break. Town's second half performance was probably the best of the season so far with five further goals coming. Greg Byrne headed in a Molyneux corner from the left hand side after an hour, and five minutes later it was 5-0 with Adegbenro hitting his fifth of the season. The sixth came after 80 minutes with Jason Carey scoring after Mark Toohey laid off Dave Roberts cross, with the seventh being a rare headed effort from Bellew following another Roberts cross. The scoring was completed after 87 minutes with Carey getting clear and scoring off the left hand post for his 50th goal in Town colours.
