RESERVES UP TO THIRD AFTER WIN
Runcorn Town Reserves moved up to third place in Cheshire League Division Two after a 2-1 victory at Daten continued their unbeaten start to the season.

Town showed no effects of their late arrival at the ground following a crash on Runcorn Bridge on the way which meant little warming up time, and they went ahead after just 15 minutes. A corner from the right hand side found Jason Carey on the edge of the 6yd box and he fired in an unstoppable shot which gave the keeper no chance.

Daten were level after 27 minutes after Town lost possession in midfield, Tony Kemper hitting a well placed shot into the corner from the edge of the box.

Town went back in front just before half time from another set piece corner, this time Kev Hammond firing home his first ever goal for Town at the back post with the ball going in off the upright.
