RESERVES DRAW AT CAPENHURST
Runcorn Town Reserves were held to a 1-1 draw at Capenhurst Villa Reserves in a game that they could have got more from. The home side started well and took the lead from the penalty spot after 14 minutes. Adam Judge missed the ball and collided with an opponent with Chris McNeal making no mistake from the resultant spot kick.

Peter Murphy hit the bar in response, then Craig Beech hammered the ball against the angle of post and bar. A free kick on the edge of the area brought the equaliser in the 29th minute - Reece Conlon placing the ball for Danny Cummins to hit into the bottom corner with Capenhurst waiting for the referee to blow his whistle.

Town were in full control but were unable to get the goal their play deserved. Conlon headed wide, but it took a good save from Judge to deny the home side. Two late openings fell to Anton Ellison and Flaherty, both of which brought good saves from the keeper.
