TOWN GET OFF TO PERFECT START

Runcorn Town opened up their inaugual Vodkat League season with a stunning 5-1 over Abbey Hey in front of a club record gate of 113 spectators.

Marvin Molyneux will go down in the history books as the first goalscorer in the Vodkat League for Town after just four minutes, with Abbey Hey equalising after 16 minutes through Sam Jones.

Two minutes later though, Town retook the lead with Molyneux grabbing his second, with a James McShane double after 39 and 41 minutes giving Town a 4-1 half time lead.

Town's fifth came after 81 minutes through Tyson Eyo, with Town going top of the league with just 90 minutes of the season gone!
