RESERVES FIGHT BACK TWICE TO BEAT HAYDOCK
Town Reserves showed their resilience in their final home friendly of pre-season tonight by coming back from twice being behind to earn a well deserved 4-2 win against Warrington Premier League side Haydock FC.

The one downside to the game was losing goalkeeper Carl Williams with a first half injury to his arm although Town did have Paul Illidge (aka The Cat) coming off the bench to deputise between the sticks!

Warren Bellew was the main man for Town who had his shooting boots on as he helped himself to a hat trick, scoring twice in the first half, each one being an equaliser before putting Town in the lead for the first time in the game at the start of the second half.

And it was from another Bellew effort which the visiting keeper couldn’t hold that young Richie Hargreaves pounced on to register his first goal for Town.
