RESERVES PICK UP DRAW AT PILKS

Runcorn Town Reserves were held to a 2-2 draw at Pilkington F.C on Saturday, but can take much heart with the performance against a team from a higher division.

An Aarron Stafford penalty and an own goal saw Town take a two goal lead into half time but a resurgent Pilks came back strongly to gain a draw.

Pilks second goal was strongly disputed by the Town back line who looked to have moved out perfectly to catch the opposition forward offside before he volleyed in a cross past Williams in the Town goal, but the referee awarded the goal.
