Runcorn Town remain unbeaten in pre-season after a 2-2 draw against Vodkat Premier side Colne in this afternoons friendly at Pavilions. Tony Wynne put Town ahead after 8 minutes with a tap in following Warren Bellew's low cross.
Both sides had chances to score with Karl Wills making two good saves and Ste Latham hitting the post with a volley. Two quickfire goals from Colne at the start of the second half swung the game Colnes way. Billy Priestley equalised by heading in a corner from the left, with former Runcorn Linnets captain Ste Cunningham given space on the edge of the box to put the visitors ahead after 53 minutes.
Latham then equalised for Town on the hour with a deft lob over the keeper, with Town unlucky not to win overall after another good performance.
