LAIRDS / HALE CAPTURE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Cammell Laird Reserves today captured the Division One Championship with a 2-0 win at Newton, with Hale confirmed as Division Three Champions with a 4-1 home win against Mersey Royal.

Lairds are worthy Division One Champions and we congratulate them on their success. They have been on an astonishing run since the start of 2010, picking up 41 points from the last 45 available, including winning all of their last seven games. They win the league by one point from reigning champions West Kirby despite having three points deducted earlier in the campaign.

Hale, having led Division Three for much of the season, have stuttered over the finishing line having lost twice in their last six league games. However like Lairds they are deserved winners, losing points in just five games, and scoring 83 goals in their 24 games. Congratulations go to Hale on their success.

Runcorn Town finished third in Division One, with Town Reserves also having the opportunity to finish third in Division Three as they close the West Cheshire League season next weekend when they face Mersety Royal at home (3.00pm kick off).
