RESERVES OUT OF DIVISION THREE TITLE RACE
Runcorn Town Reserves are out of the Division Three title race following tonight's results, however they could still finish in the runner's up position depending on Hale's final results.

Richmond Raith Rovers ended their season by winning 4-1 at Christleton Reserves to move seven points ahead of Town who have just two games left.

Prescot Cables, who have also finished their season, remain second and two points behind Richmond after Hale's were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw at Blacon Youth Club - Hale's first draw of the season.

Hale are third, three points behind Richmond with Town in fourth. Both Town and Hale have two games left, the first of which are on Wednesday evening. Town are at Capenhurst Villa Reserves with Hale hosting Manor Athletic.

Hale need a win to achieve promotion and four points to win the championship. Town need two wins to ensure a top three finish for the third successive season.

Both Town and Hale's final game is against Mersey Royal, with the Wets Cheshire League deciding on their fate at a committee meeting on Thursday evening.

That meeting should also see whether Prescot's appeal against Mossley Hill alledgedly playing an unregistered player is successful. If it is it shall be replayed, with a victory for Prescot assuring them of promotion.

Complicated indeed!
