Runcorn Town Reserves recovered from a 2-1 defecit to beat Christleton Reserves 3-2 at Pavilions, but results elsewhere mean it is unlikely that Town will finish in the top two.
Dave Jolley put Town ahead before Nick Cushing's equaliser made ensured it was level at the break. Robert Hartley then put Christleton 2-1 ahead before leading scorer Aarron Stafford equalised for Town.
With a draw looking likely, Stafford (pictured) popped up with his 36th goal of the season to ensure Town picked up all three points.
