MERSEY ROYAL IN NO SHOW AGAINST TOWN

Today's Runcorn Town Reserve team game at home to Mersey Royal was called off 20 minutes before kick off after Town were informed by the league that the visitors could not raise a team and would not be turning up.

Town are now awaiting a decision from the West Cheshire League on whether we will be awarded the three points from the fixture - something that the league did earlier this month with rivals Hale and Richmond Raith Rovers when Southport Trinity Reserves failed to show - or whether the game will be replayed at a later date.
