RELENTLESS TOWN STUN WILLASTON
Runcorn Town put in a superb second half performance to complete the double over Willaston and keep their Championship hopes alive after a 3-1 win at Willaston.

Town had the better of the first half despite not creating a clear goalscoring opportunity with just a few half chances coming Town's way.

The second half saw Willaston awarded a penalty after just five minutes following a foul that the linesman gave as outside the box but was overruled by the referee who gave the spot kick - Richie Foulkes converting to give Willaston the lead.

Town were not behind long. From the kick off, Town raced up the other end with Ste Latham turning in Tony Wynne's cross from the right for the equaliser.

With Town knowing that a win was needed, Wynne was moved up front, and he put Town ahead after 75 minutes when he reacted quickest to a rebound from Tyson Eyo's shot.

Three minutes later Town had a two goal cushion when Marvin Molyneux's free kick found the net, with Town comfortably holding on for all three points.
