TIERNEY PUTS TOWN INTO FINAL

Runcorn Town progressed through to the final of the Bill Weight Memorial Trophy after a 2-0 victory over Poulton Victoria at Pavilions.

Billy Sutton gave Town the lead in the third minute of the match, and Shaun Tierney made it two from the penalty spot just before the half hour after a defender handled a cross from the right.

Town will face the winners of the other semi-final which will be played on Tuesday night between West Kirby and AFC Bebington Athletic.
