A superb team goal by Runcorn Town gave them all three points at Marine Reserves with Town moving six points clear at the top of West Cheshire One.
Despite dominating much of the match, Town had to wait until the 63rd minute for the opening goal which was well worth the wait.
Debutant Chris Fitzsimmons won the ball in the left back position and layed it off to Warren Bellew. He found Tony Wynne with the forwards touch landing perfectly in the path of Fitzsimmons who had continued his run, and his cross was turned inside the post by McEvoy.
Although creating plenty of chances, Town had to settle for the solitary goal victory, with Bellew going the closest to adding a second when he struck the post.
