RESERVES SHINE AGAINST BLACON
Runcorn Town Reserves consilidated their second place position in West Cheshire League Three after a 4-0 victory over Blacon Youth Club Reserves.

Aarron Stafford continued his incredible scoring record this season with two goals, taking his tally to 31 for the season. He now needs just two more goals to beat Town's record of most goals in one season which is currently held by team-mate James McShane.

Stafford opened the scoring after 14 minutes following good work by David Jolley, with the lead doubled midway through the half when Barry Angell's cross was deflected into the home net.

Jack Burbidge made it three in the second half with a wonderful individual goal after bamboozling the Blacon defence with his footwork, with Stafford making it four late on.

Defender Paul Illidge deserves a mention also after keeping his THIRD clean sheet of the season after deputising for the injured Carl Williams. He kept his record intact with a string of saves including a fantastic one handed effort from a shot destined for the top corner, with Blacon already celebrating pulling one back.
