TOWN SMASH CLUB RECORD WIN

Runcorn Town smashed the club's record win one week after it was set as they progressed into the Semi Finals of the Runcorn Saturday Cup with victory over Warrington League's Roundhouse Rovers.

The Reserves probably thought last weeks 14-0 win would stand for some time as a club record, but just seven days later the First Team showed that their calibre by adding another eight to the record in a 22-0 win.

Second half substitute Jason Carey led the way with six goals, with West Cheshire League One's leading scorer Tony Wynne weighing in with four.

Jon McEvoy, Marvin Molyneux and Emini Adegbenro all netted twice, with Tyson Eyo, Ian Robinson, Danny Dalton, Danny Cummins, Warren Bellew and Mark Toohey grabbing one each.
