RESERVES LOSE AT PORT
Runcorn Town Reserves own promotion aspirations were dented with a 2-1 loss at Ellesmere Port Reserves in a match where they put in their worst half of football for many a season.

After falling behind, Dave Jolley grabbed Town's only goal of the game in the second half only for Ellesmere Port to restore the lead.

Connor Anderson's penalty miss summed up Town's day, with his spot kick coming back off the bar with the referee correctly ruling out a Anderson's follow up goal after the ball came back to him.

Town had a bit of good news later on with promotion rivals Prescot Cables Reserves suprisingly losing 2-1 at home to Blacon Youth Club Reserves... despite beating them 14-0 last week!
