HALTON GAME CALLED OFF

Tonights West Cheshire League Pyke Cup First Round derby match between Runcorn Town and Halton FC has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

The pitch was perfectly playable at 4.30pm but continuous heavy rain over the next few hours resulted in standing water in several areas resulted in the referee calling the game off to much disappointment from both teams.

The game will be rearranged by the league, presumably for a midweek in a couple of weeks time.

With rain also forecast for the first three days of next week, Wednesday's friendly against the West Cheshire League Representative Side is also in doubt.
