CHESHIRE CUP PROGRESS FOR TOWN

Runcorn Town moved into the Third Round of the Cheshire Amateur Cup with a 2-0 victory at Vauxhall Motors Reserves.

James McShane put Town ahead after 35 minutes by slotting home from close range after the home keeper had save Emini Adegbenro's effort from Simon Burton's cross from the right.

Adegbenro scored the second ten minutes into the second half after McShane's persistance created space for the shot with "Mini" making no mistake with a left foot shot from the edge of the box.
