CUP MONTH FOR TOWN

Runcorn Town could face the unusual prospect of playing four different cup games on the four Saturday's in November following the release of the month's fixtures by the West Cheshire League.

On Saturday 7th November they have what can only be described as a bizarre game for everyone at the club as they face the reserve team in the Runcorn & District Saturday Cup. The first team are actually away in this game and will therefore be in the away dressing room and will wear the away kit!

The following week sees what will be the first competitive floodlit evening game on the pitch in the Quarter Finals of the Pyke Cup. This will be on Friday 13th November against neighbours Halton (kick off 7.30pm).

Should Town beat Vauxhall in the Cheshire Amateur Cup this coming Saturday, Town will be in Third Round action in the competition on Saturday 21st November, with the league likely to give us a game if we are no longer in it.

The month ends with a league game which predictably is away from home, this time at newly promoted Willaston. This is on Saturday 28th November with kick off at 2.00pm.
