RESERVES BEAT MERSEY ROYAL 4-2 Manager Rod Looker’s gamble of playing his goalscoring wingers as twin strikers paid off with a thoroughly deserved 4-2 victory at Bromborough against Mersey Royal.Mike New gave Royal an early lead before Dave Jolley equalised after 21 minutes from Aarron Brown's cross. Ten minutes later Brown put Town ahead after Mersey Royal failed to cope with a Paul Glynn cross. The start of the second half saw Town move further clear with Jolley grabbing his eighth of the season from Brown's pass, with Tom Hunt pulling one back a few minutes later. Town sealed the game after 77 minutes when Brown got on the end of Glynn's pass and clipped the ball over the keeper for his fifth goal in two games.
