TOWN PROGRESS IN CHESHIRE CUP
Runcorn Town progressed through to the Second Round of the Cheshire Amateur Cup after a 4-0 victory at Cheshire League Two leaders Lostock Gralam.

Jon McEvoy gave Town the lead after 23 minutes when Warren Bellew released Tony Wynne down the right hand side and his cross was controlled and despatched by Macca in the box.

Despite creating numerous chances, the second goal didn't arrive until the 75th minute when Danny Cummins put Bellew through the centre and he coolly slotted past the keeper.

A minute later it was 3-0 with Bellew getting his second of the game when Danny Dalton released Wynne down the right and he pulled the ball back to Bellew who fired home.

The fourth arrived after 83 minutes after Bellew got to the byline and pulled it back for McEvoy to grab his second. Bellew almost had his hat-trick two minutes later but his shot was well saved on the line.

Lostock's best chance came in stoppage time from the penalty spot, but Karl Wills dived to his left to save his second penalty of the season.
