TOWN COMEBACK TO BEAT MAGHULL
Two goals in two minutes midway through the second half gave Runcorn Town a valuable three points as they came from behind to win at Maghull.

The home side had took the lead with two minutes of the first half remaining when midfielder Neil Buck got behind a static defence and chipped Karl Wills.

Town had struggled in the first half in blustery conditions but should have gone ahead after 36 minutes when Warren Bellew was brought down just inside the box to give Town a penalty. However Martin Molyneux's spot kick was saved by Mike Doran to his right and he also pulled off an excellent save from Bellew's follow up.

The introduction of Ian Robinson on the hour changed things for Town and they were level within three minutes. He got the ball on the wing and pulled it back for Mark Toohey whose cross was missed by Doran with Bellew scoring his fifth of the season with a tap in.

Two minutes later Town were in front with Robinson making a fantastic run through Maghull's defence and laying the ball off for Simon Burton to score.

Burton should have added another a few minutes later when he hit the post from just a yard out after Jon McEvoy crossed, but Town held on for the win.
