WINNING RUN CONTINUES FOR RESERVES Runcorn Town Reserves extended their winning run to four matches with a 2-1 victory over Manor Athletic in Bromborough.Town dominated proceedings from the start and should have gone ahead well before Aarron Brown opened the scoring after 28 minutes after creating some great opportunities that Town could not quite get on the end of. Brown's goal was well worth the wait as he turned the last defender from Jordan Stafford's ball and curled the ball into the top right hand corner from just inside the box. Town extended the lead after 40 minutes when Dave Jolley turned in the box from Stafford's ball in from the left and fired a low shot into the bottom corner for his fourth goal in as many games. Manor came into the game more in the second half and looked dangerous on a couple of occassions from set piece situations. Their goal arrived with 11 minutes remaining when the ball was played wide to Wayne Hulse with Martin Canham volleying his cross into the bottom corner. Town had a couple of chances to go two goals clear again with Jolley seeing a shot saved and Paul Angell shooting wide, but Town held on to secure second place in the table from Hale who Town meet on Saturday.
