TOWN UP TO SECOND AFTER WIN
Runcorn Town are up to second place in West Cheshire League One after a 6-1 victory over Blacon Youth Club at Cairns Crescent, Chester.

Warren Bellew opened the scoring in the 21st minute after Simon Burton layed a free kick off to him with Emini Adegbenro rifling in a second five minutes later after Burton flicked Mark Toohey's ball into his path.

Blacon got back into it after 31 minutes when David Ginever was harshly adjudged to have brought down Blacon's Andy Reid in the box with James Antrobus scoring from the spot.

Town's man-of-the-match Burton got a deserved third for Town after 37 minutes when he headed in Bellew's corner to give Town a 3-1 half time lead.

Into the second half and Tony Wynne increased the lead after 57 minutes when Mini made a run down the line from halfway and crossed for Wynne to slot home. After 63 minutes it was five after Toohey found Burton who turned inside the defender before laying off to Bellew to score his second.

Town then created a hat-ful of chances but were unable to add to the score until three minutes from time when Bellew put substitute Connor Anderson clear. His chip was cleared off the line with Wynne following up to score his second and Town's sixth.
