TOWN DEFEAT ELLESMERE PORT Two goals in two minutes from Warren Bellew and Simon Burton were enough to give Town a 2-0 victory at Ellesmere Port and it could have been a lot more but for some poor finishing. The opening goal arrived after 31 minutes when Emini Adegbenro dispossessed Peter Charles and crossed for Bellew who fired low into the net. Two minutes later Town went 2-0 up with the best passing move of the game. Danny Cummins found Mini who played it into Tony Wynne, with his cross turned in by Simon Burton in the box. Ellesmere Port's best chance came in stoppage time from the penalty spot after a cross from the left was handled in the box by Cummins. However Karl Wills rounded off an excellent game with a fine save to his left to deny substitute Mike Jones.
