TOWN GET FIRST WIN AT CHRISTLETON
Runcorn Town Reserves put in a much improved performance as they recorded their first win of the season with a 2-0 win at Christleton Reserves.

Dave Jolley put Town ahead after 21 minutes following a superb passing move involving six Town players. Connor Anderson threaded through the final ball which left Jolley with the keeper to beat and he made no mistake with a low drive that found the net.

The second goal took until the 62nd minute to arrive and was again another good passing move that cut Christleton apart. It started on the right with the ball played into Anderson who was tackled in midfield. Rob Darlington picked up the loose ball and played it out to Paul Glynn on the left whose cross to the back post gave Alan Bond his second goal in two games.

Christleton's best effort was a free kick from substitute Neil Scott that Paul Illidge - operating as an emergency goalkeeper - tipped over the bar.
