DUFFY BIG WINNER AT AWARDS DAY
Defender Mike Duffy was the big winner at Runcorn Town's end of season awards day as he picked up three awards.

Duffy (pictured right) only joined the club at the start of December, yet he quickly established himself and was an ever present for the remainder of the season. He did not lose any of the 18 games he was involved in, and oversaw 8 clean sheets in that time.

He walked away with the 1st Team Player of the Season, 1st Team Players Player of the Season, and also won the 1st Team West Cheshire Man-of-the-Match award.

The other first team award went to George Donnelly, who picked up the 1st team leading goalscorer award.

For the reserves, honours were shared throughout the team with Jeff Enamu winning Reserves Player of the Season, David Ginever picking up the Reserves Players Player of the Season, and Matty Johnson winning the Reserves West Cheshire Man-of-the-Match award.

Connor Taylor picked up the Reserve Team Leading Goalscorer award, with his goals earning him a call up to the first team towards the end of the season where he continued his scoring streak by hitting six in four games including the winner against MANWEB which gave the club promotion.

Other trophies went to goalkeeper Adam Judge, who won the Carl Droughton trophy for Young Player of the Year. Adam, who has broken into the first team this season, was presented the award by Stuart Droughton.

Martin Fallon picked up the David Hinde trophy for Clubman of the Year, with defender Mark Tudor picking up a Club Service award after spending 12 seasons with the club.

There were also awards for two of our younger supporters which were presented by joint first team manager Peter Nolan. Campbell Leach was presented with a Club Mascot award after appearing as mascot in most of Town's home games this season, whilst Thomas McNish was presented with a Club Supporter award after attending most Town games this season despite being just two years old!

All awards, unless stated above, were presented by Peter Blake, who is an ex-player at Mond Rangers and the club Vice-President.
