Runcorn Town continued their fine pre-season form with a 2-2 home draw against Unibond Premier League side Marine - a side four divisions higher in the football pyramid.
Danny Cummins gave Town the lead after 20 minutes with a fantastic 25 yard effort after a right wing corner was only half cleared with Tony Wynne almost doubling the lead as he hit the crossbar from Emini Adegbenro's cross five minutes later.
Jason Carey's fifth goal of pre-season doubled the lead in the 51st minute as he raced clear of the Marine defence and rounded the keeper before slotting the ball home.
Marine pulled one back ten minutes later with a fantastic strike from the edge of the box which gave Lee Carroll no chance, and they equalised after 65 minutes when a cross from the left was headed into the bottom left hand corner.
Despite the league difference Town were well worthy of a share of the spoils with no noticable difference between the two outfits.
