TOWN DEFEATED AT VODKAT LEAGUE COLNE
Runcorn Town put in a tremendous second half performance against a Colne side two leagues higher than them, but were ultimately defeated 5-4 by the Vodkat League club.

Jason Carey gave Town an early lead but strikes from Mark Tinker (10) and Sam Hayes (13) put Colne 2-1 up. Marvin Molyneux hit the bar for Town but Richie Threlfall's goal on the stroke of half time gave them a 3-1 lead.

The second half saw Town give a good account of themselves and goals from Emini Adegbenro (67) and Simon Burton (72) made the game all square.

Threlfall's second after 76 minutes restored Colne's lead with Hayes adding his second after 82 minutes to make it 5-3 and the game seemingly safe. However Warren Bellew's strike (84) put Town back into it and they were unlucky not to emerge with something from the game.
