Runcorn Town Reserves lost out to higher opposition in the form of Cheadle Town Reserves in today's friendly, but were unluckly not to return to Runcorn with at least a share of the spoils.
Some poor defending and questionable refereeing gave the home side a 3-0 advantage in the first half, with Town hitting the woodwork on four occassions.
The second half saw Neil Murray pull a goal back after an excellent free kick from Robbie Darlington, with Ian Cocks grabbing Town's second as he drew the keeper before chipping the ball over him.
