MIXED FORTUNES ON THE EUROPEAN TOUR!!

Runcorn Town's pre-season campaign got underway on Saturday with a visit to Welsh Alliance League Champions Bethesda Athletic where we played two games.

The day was deemed a success by all concerned & we wish to thank Bethesda Athletic for there generous hospitality and wish them luck for the forthcoming season. Next season will see Bethesda travel up to Runcorn where we can hopefully lay on the same hospitality that they showed us.

The football matches saw a loss to the Bethesda first string in the first game and a win against Bethesda Reserves in the second game. Both were played in a good friendly but competitive manner with a good tempo maintained throughout both matches.

The management team took a lot of positives from the games as we mixed and matched our squads to put both new and established players into the two line ups. Bethesda opted to concentrate their first team in the first match and a complete reserve team in the second game.
