FLOODLIGHTS GIVEN GO AHEAD

Runcorn Town are more confident than ever that they will be playing North West Counties League football next season after Halton Borough Council granted to club planning permission to erect floodlights at the ground.

Despite being no residents that would be affected by floodlights, there was a potential issue with the location of the ground being next to the Weston Point Expressway. However after supplying the Council with full specifications on the floodlights, they have deemed that this will not be a problem.

With planning permission now granted, work will begin immediately on erecting the floodlights, which should be up in the next two months.
