
Runcorn Town's preparations for the new season are well underway with several pre-season games now confirmed.
Pre-Season training will commence with an "open session" on Thursday 2nd July where we will be inviting any players who wish to join the club ahead of the new season. Training then starts in earnest on Saturday 4th July with the first games taking place two weeks later.
Saturday 18th July sees Runcorn Town take both the first and reserve team to North Wales to take on Bethesda Athletic. Bethesda won the Welsh Alliance League last season winning 27 of their 32 games and scoring an amazing 146 goals!
After more midweek training, the following Saturday sees the first team take on Vodkat Premier League side Newcastle Town at Pavilions, with Newcastle finishing third last season. The reserve team game is yet to be arranged for this day.
Midweek games then see two home games with the first team playing Warrington Town Reserves on Tuesday and the reserves taking on Tarporley Victoria.
Saturday 1st August games are yet to be arranged, with the following midweek seeing the first team play Unibond Premier League side Marine at home and the reserves facing Robin Hood Helsby away.
The Saturday before the season then sees the first team travel to Staffordshire League side Wolstanton United who we drew 4-4 with last pre-season. The reserves also have an away game that day at Ford Motors.
