BURTON APPOINTED NEW MANAGER

Simon Burton has been appointed manager of Runcorn Town after being promoted from the assistant manager role that he carried out last season.

Burton started his career at the club in its Mond Rangers days before moving to Unibond Premier League side Bamber Bridge.

His career also took in Witton Albion, Warrington Town, Rossendale United and Colwyn Bay, before he returned to Town midway through the 2007/08 season.
