NICK ARMITAGE RESIGNS AS MANAGER
With the news that Town will not be playing Vodkat League football next season, Nick Armitage has handed in his resignation as manager of the first team.

Nick took charge of 65 competitive games for Town, winning 37, drawing 11 and losing just 17. The team scored 181 goals under him and conceded just 84.

He took over in October 2007 and guided the club to its highest ever finish of third place last season. He also won the Runcorn Senior Cup and reached the final of the Pyke Cup. This season, the club led the West Cheshire League for almost six months but faded to finish what ended up a disappointing fourth place.

Everyone on the Runcorn Town Committee would like to thank Nick for his time at the club, and wish him all the best with future managerial appointments.
