NO VODKAT LEAGUE YET FOR TOWN
Runcorn Town will have to wait at least one more season before taking their place in the Vodkat North West Counties Football League after running out of time for their application next season.

Any hope that Town had of gaining promotion ended after the FA informing the league of their proposed membership for next season, with Town unable to make the list as floodlights are not yet erected at the clubs' Pavilions ground.

Planning permission for the lights is in the final stages, with work on the lights hopefully starting within the next two weeks, with the lights being ready in time for the 2009/10 West Cheshire League season.

The club have also still not given up hope of participating in the FA Vase for the first time next season. An application has gone in to the Football Association, but a deadline of the 1st July for the lights to be up and running must be met for this to happen.
