AINTREE EXPULSION DROPS TOWN TO FOURTH
Aintree Villa's record for the 2008/09 season has been expunged by the West Cheshire League, with the result having a dramatic effect on the table for Runcorn Town.

Town were the only one of the top four to beat Aintree twice, with Town having six points deducted as a result of their expulsion. West Kirby and Poulton Vics had only played Aintree once, with Upton A.A. winning and losing against them.

The result of this means that Town have had six points deducted with West Kirby, Poulton Vics and Upton A.A. all having three deducted. This has send Town to fourth place in the league, with the club now facing a battle to secure runners up spot.
