RESERVES LOSE AS MARSHALLS SLIP UP
Runcorn Town Reserves went down to their second defeat of the season after a 3-2 defeat at Ashville Reserves, but stayed top of West Cheshire Three as Marshalls suffered defeat by the same scoreline at home to Richmond Raith Rovers Jacobs.

After falling behind to Paul Hayes' opening goal, Pete Murphy ensured Town went in level at the break with the equaliser. Ashville failed to clear a corner with Mark Tudor crossing to the back post where Murphy headed home.

Danny Cummins missed a great chance to give Town the lead from the spot in the second half after seeing his spot kick saved by the home keeper.

Andy Kingam put Ashville back in the lead only for Cummins to redeem himself with Town's second equaliser, this time slotting away his spot kick after the midfielder himself was fouled.

Craig Jones grabbed an 89th minute winner from a free kick, with Ashville celebrating wildly at the final whistle.

Cheers to Bondy for the assistance on the report!
