TOWN EDGE CLOSER TO PROMOTION
Runcorn Town need just two points from four games to secure the West Cheshire League Division Two title after a 2-0 victory over Mallaby on Saturday.

In a tight game, Robbie Moore put Town ahead midway through the second half with a stunning volley from two yards out after Mike Duffy headed Ian Robinson's free kick back across goal.

George Donnelly secured all three points with seven minutes remaining when he ran onto Ryan Wade's through ball and advanced into the box before slotting past the keeper.

Meanwhile the Reserves put a dent in Manor Athletic's promotion hunt with a goalless draw at Pavilions.

Full reports on both matches to follow.
