The West Cheshire League have released the November fixture lists. November is the month when kick-offs are brought forward due to the drawing in of the dark nights, so most of the kick-off times are 2.00pm - certainly all of the home league fixtures. Town first-team begin the month with the visit of Maghull on November 1st, with the Reserves away at Blacon Youth Club Reserves on the same day. Saturday 8th November sees the Reserves at home to Southport Trinity Reserves ( ex-Merseyside Police Reserves ), whilst the first team take their first step towards hopefully retaining the Runcorn Saturday Cup against Waterloo Wanderers on Runcorn Heath. More cup football the following week when the first team take on Heswall at home ( 1.30pm kick off ) in the 3rd Round of the West Cheshire Pyke Cup, while the Reserves travel to Upton Athletic Association Reserves for a Division 3 fixture. Whilst the first team's scheduled match for Saturday 22nd, at home to West Kirby in Division 1, is only provisional due to West Kirby's likely progression in the Cheshire Amateur Cup, the Reserves also start their defence of silverware on the same day with a trip to Capenhurst Villa Reserves in the 2nd Round of the West Cheshire Shield ( again 1.30pm k / o ). Saturday 29th sees the first team hosting Poulton Victoria in Division 1, and the Reserves travelling to Ashville Reserves for a Division 3 match - this is shown on the fixture list as a 2.00pm kick off, but guesses are that this is a typing error and is more likely to be 3.00pm due to Ashville's floodlighting.
