ANDERSON HAT-TRICK HELPS SEE OF PORT
Connor Anderson's first hat-trick for the club helped Runcorn Town Reserves stay top of West Cheshire League Three with a comfortable 6-2 victory at Ellesmere Port Reserves.

Danny Cummins grabbed the first early on from a free kick on the edge of the box, with Anderson grabbing his first with a close range shot after Mark Tudor's thunderous effort from an acute angle rebounded off the bar.

Ellesmere Port pulled one back when a midfielder (name to follow) was allowed to run through the middle before unleashing a 25-yard shot that beat James Orme, but Cummins grabbed his second and Town's third just before half time with a 25-yard shot of his own which bounced off the keeper and spun in.

The goal of the game cane three minutes into the second half with Jamie Cumpper playing a superb ball through which Anderson ran onto before lobbing the keeper from the edge of the box, with Dave Jolley setting up number five on the hour when he weaved his way through on the right and crossed low for Pete Murphy to score from close range.

After 65 minutes Anderson made it six when Murphy played him in, with the forward rounding the last defender before shooting low past the keeper. The home side's second came with 15 minutes to go with a passing move on the left which was finished off by another guy whose name will follow.
