Kyle Hamid's spectacular second goal was the talk of the game on Saturday in Runcorn Town's 4-3 friendly win over Liverpool Premier League Runners Up East Villa at Litherland Sports Complex.
Hamid struck the ball from the half way line when kicking off the second half with the ball flying over bemused East Villa goalkeeper Dennis Hayde and into the net. That gave Town a 3-1 lead after first half goals from Aaron Brown and Hamid had put Town 2-0 up.
In blazing heat, East Villa came from behind to draw level at 3-3, but a goal a minute from time by Joe Davies after good work by Ged Bushell gave Town the win. Full report to follow.
