NEWCASTLE TOWN GAME CALLED OFF

Runcorn Town's home pre-season fixture against North West Counties Premier League side Newcastle Town this coming has been postponed.

Like Town, Newcastle had two matches scheduled for the day and were due to split their first and reserve teams to bring a strong side, but departures from their reserves has led to a shortage of players.

Instead of drafting in players, it has been agreed that the game will be postponed until next pre-season instead.

Saturday's other Town game at East Villa of the Liverpool County Premier League remains unaffected, with Town now sending our strongest possible squad. Kick off at the Litherland Sports Complex is at 2.30pm.
