
Runcorn Town can now finally outline the opposition and dates of our pre-season programme.
The reserves open up pre-season on Tuesday 22nd July with a game at Warrington Premier League side Halebank, kick off 7.00pm. Two days later, the first team travel to Manchester City Academy to face Gregorians, who finished a close second in the Manchester Premier League last season. Kick off 8.00pm.
On Saturday 26th, the club as a whole will have two games, with one at home against North West Counties Premier League side Newcastle Town, who finished third last season. Another squad will travel to the home of the Liverpool County FA at Litherland to play East Villa, who finished in second place of the Liverpool County Premier League last season. Kick of in Liverpool will be 2.30pm, with kick off at Pavilions at 3.00pm.
Tuesday 29th sees the first team host Styal FC, who won the Cheshire County League, with the reserves travelling to Styal on the same evening to face their reserves who won the Cheshire County Reserve League. Both of these are 7.00pm kick off's.
Town welcome Staffordshire County League Champions Wolstanton United to Pavilions on Saturday 2nd August, with the reserves travelling up to Golborne Sports. Both of these are 3.00pm kick off. And on Tuesday 5th August, North West Counties League new boys Wigan Robin Park, who won the Manchester Premier League last season, visit Pavilions with the reserves travelling to Cheshire County League outfit Lostock Gralam. Kick off will be 7.00pm.
The final pre-season games come on Saturday 9th August with the first team travelling to Wales to face the Welsh Alliance League Champions Bethesda Athletic, kick off 2.30pm. The reserves will be at home on this day to Warrington Premier League side Haydock, kick off 3.00pm.
The West Cheshire League season then starts on Saturday 16th August, and we have been informed that fixtures will be out towards the end of July as the league has to wait for the Unibond and North West Counties Leagues to release their fixtures first.
