TOWN SEARCH FOR NEW MANAGER West Cheshire League outfit Runcorn Town FC are on the lookout for a new First Team manager after the resignation today of Nick Armitage.Nick took over in October 2007 and guided the club to third place in West Cheshire League One, losing the chance of the league title in the last week of the season. He also won the Runcorn Cup and reached the Final of the Pyke Cup, and of his 30 games in charge, Town won 19 of them. The decision was made as Nick wants to test himself higher up the pyramid, with his initial contract only to the end of the 2007/08 season with Town missing out on promotion to the North West Counties league due to floodlights not being installed in time. Runcorn Town would like to place on record our thanks to Nick for what he achieved last season and wish him luck with his next job in football. Applications are invited for the vacant managers position, with previous Step 7 experience preferred but not essential. Applications should be made by the closing date of Saturday 14th June 2008 to the following address: Robbie Winrow Chairman, Runcorn Town FC Pavilions Complex Runcorn Cheshire WA7 4EX Alternatively applications can be made via email to chairman@runcorntown.co.uk.
