With Runcorn Town facing Saturday and midweek games until the end of the season, Saturday's abandonment was the last thing that the club needed with little choice of where to slot in the replayed fixture.
The only midweek the club does not have a game is this coming midweek but Upton are already in action on Monday evening when they travel to Cammell Laird Reserves which rules out playing the game this week.
One option the West Cheshire League are looking into is the possibility of playing Newton away this Wednesday with a kick off time of 6.00pm, with the Upton game then being played in the last week of the season when we were due to go to Newton. Although this is yet to be confirmed this is the most likely scenario, and will post confirmation either way as soon as we receive it.
Saturday's reserve game at Fairfield Athletic Reserves, which was also off because of the weather, cannot be played this week as Fairfield are already in action against Richmond Raith Rovers. We will also post confirmation of this fixture when we get it.
