Runcorn Town kept pressure on leaders West Kirby after a late comeback to take all three points against Aintree Villa.
Ex-Town forward Drew Hyland put the visitors ahead in the second minute, with Will Dolan equalising from the penalty spot in the 15th minute. Simon Burton was then sent off for a late tackle in what was an action packed 1st half.
The game seemed to be all over when firstly Colin McDonald then Hyland again put the visitors 3-1 up with just 13 minutes remaining.
A 25yd free kick from Kyle Hamid then found the roof of the net to lift Runcorn's hopes before James McShane twice broke clear of the Aintree defence to secure all three points in an exciting finale.
West Kirby won 4-0 against Marine Reserves to stay 11 points clear, with Town having five games in hand on the leaders. Town Reserves' game at Fairfield Athletic was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
