TOWN CRUISE INTO SEMI'S

Runcorn Town cruised into the Semi Finals of the Runcorn Saturday FA Cup after a 7-1 win over Act R Sports under floodlights at Pavilions.

In dreadful conditions, scores were level at the break with Ian Robinson scoring for Town and Dean Walker for Act R. However James McShane's goal two minutes into the second half settled Town who put in a commanding second half display.

Simon Burton, who was rested to the substitutes bench, came on and helped himself to four goals, with Will Dolan grabbing the other.
