TOWN MOVE BACK TO SECOND
Runcorn Town moved back up to second place in West Cheshire League One after a 3-0 victory at Blacon Youth Club.

Town took the lead in the 43rd minute following a handball in the box, with Will Dolan sending the keeper the wrong way from the spot. Kyle Hamid rounded the keeper to double the lead in the 63rd minute with Robbie Moore heading home the third in the 76th minute.

Meanwhile Town Reserves left it very late to secure passage to the last sixteen of the Guardian Cup with Danny Cummins finding the net three minutes into stoppage time in a 2-1 win over Ford Reserves.

Dave Jolley had earlier put Town ahead after Paul Hart's break gave him a simple tap in, but Ford equalised after an error by goalkeeper Kev Ginever gifted him an open goal.

Town will play Warrington Premier Division side Beeches in the next round in early February.
